Reservation Policy

  • Reservations are highly recommended, especially for weekends and special occasions
  • Tables are held for 15 minutes after reservation time
  • Cancellations should be made at least 2 hours in advance

General Dining Policies

  • We operate on a first-come, first-served basis for walk-ins
  • Smart casual dress code applies
  • Children are welcome; high chairs and children's menus available
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to disruptive guests
  • Outside food and beverages are not permitted

Payment & Pricing

  • We accept cash, all major credit cards, and EFT payments
  • Prices are subject to change without notice

Dietary Requirements & Allergies

  • Please inform staff of any allergies or dietary requirements when ordering
  • While we take precautions, we cannot guarantee allergen-free environments
  • Vegetarian options are clearly marked on our menu with (V)
  • We use fresh ingredients but cannot guarantee dishes are suitable for severe allergies

Health & Safety

  • We maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene
  • All staff are trained in food handling and safety procedures
  • We reserve the right to refuse entry to visibly intoxicated guests
  • Parents are responsible for supervising their children at all times
  • Please report any accidents or incidents to staff immediately

  • We welcome feedback to improve our service

Dress Code & Behavior Policy

At Franco's, we are proud to be a family-friendly establishment, committed to providing a welcoming and respectful atmosphere for all guests. To ensure a comfortable dining experience, we ask that all patrons adhere to the following dress code and behavior guidelines:

Dress Code

  • No overly revealing clothing
  • No exposed undergarments of any kind
  • Adults are required to wear shoes at all times
  • Clothing with offensive graphics or wording will not be permitted

Guest Conduct

  • We ask that guests maintain a respectful atmosphere
  • Disruptive, loud or inappropriate behaviour that disturbs the dining experience of other WILL NOT BE TOLERATED
  • Guests who engage in such behaviour may be asked to leave

Photography Policy

  • For the privacy and comfort of all our guests, photos are not permitted to be taken around the restaurant
  • Guest may take photos at their own tables, but we kindly ask that you be mindful of others

Additional Information

  • Right of Admission is Reserved. *Franco's reserves the right to refuse service to any guest who does not adhere to this policy
  • This policy may be amended or updated at any time, at the restaurant's discretion

Policies for Private Functions & Group Bookings

Policy for Functions / Events

Thank you for choosing Franco's

  • WE UNFORTUNATELY DO NOT CATER FOR GROUPS LARGER THAN 40pax
  • The OUTSIDE DECK AREA as well as INSIDE DOWNSTAIRS AREA are not available for large functions on FRIDAYS and SATURDAYS - the MAX number of heads for a booking on these two days are 30pax
  • We unfortunately do not give exclusive use of any section of the restaurant for a function ON ANY DAY OF THE WEEK
  • Bookings are for full dining customers. A minimum of 1 Main Course per person is required - we do not accept drinks only bookings

Set Menu

  • Recommended for a large group to ensure expedited service - a set menu can be created to suit your requirements

Service Charge

  • 10% Service fee for groups of 10 or more will be added to the bill

Seat Fee & Confirmation

  • Confirmation of booking MUST be made 48hrs before the function
  • A SEAT FEE WILL ONLY INCUR IF NUMBER OF SEATS ARE CONFIRMED and NOT ALL GUESTS CONFIRMED ARRIVE ON THE DAY OF THE FUNCTION - you will then be LIABLE for each non-attendee (EACH OPEN SEAT)
  • SEAT FEE STRUCTURE FOR OPEN SEATS:
    • Outside deck area: R250 per adult / R150 per child
    • Downstairs inside area: R200 per adult / R100 per child
    • Upstairs inside area: R150 per adult / R100 per child
  • We have introduced this as on occasion when large tables / functions have been booked not all guests confirmed arrive and we have turned away other guests/functions due to space limitations thus losing additional bookings

Amendments / Changes

  • Franco's Restaurant MUST be notified 48 hrs. before the function of any changes or requirements to the date; time slot; menu; booked seats

Important Dining Information

  • Please be advised that specific table requested cannot be guaranteed
  • Please ensure children of all ages are included in your final party size
  • We cannot accommodate large parties across multiple tables
  • If you book an outside table and the weather changes, we cannot guarantee a table inside

Time Slot - 4 Hours

  • Each function is allocated a 4hour time slot
  • If additional time is required and space permits, we can relocate your party
  • However if we are fully booked, we CAN NOT guarantee that we will be able to accommodate you after this time period

No Corkage

  • NO corkage is offered – please discuss any wine requirements you may have that do not appear on our comprehensive wine list and we can arrange to have it on hand for your function/event
  • Please mention this at the time of booking

Cake Fee

  • There will be a cake charge for cupcakes and cake a once off amount of:
    • Cupcakes: R50
    • Cake: R50
    • Cupcakes & Cake: R100

Decorations

  • You may bring your own TABLE décor - we ask that you please be aware of the other tables around you
  • We DO NOT allow PARTY POPPERS AND CONFETTI OF ANY KIND
  • WE DO NOT ALLOW BALLOON WALLS, BACKDROPS, PHOTO WALLS OR FURNITURE OF ANY KIND
  • Please discuss a time to setup / decorate your table
  • All décor not cleared by you after the function / event will be disposed of – thrown away

Music

  • We provide a playlist designed to complement the dining experience as well as maintain a consistent experience for all guests
  • We unfortunately cannot accommodate requests to change the music during your visit
  • The music we play is an essential part of our restaurant's ambiance

Payment

  • NO EFT'S WILL BE ACCEPTED AS PAYMENT ON THE DAY
  • The host / hostess of the function / event is liable for the full settlement of all outstanding bills incurred or related to the function / event at the end of the function /event
